The presentation of the results from the joint projects was supplemented by two keynote speeches from a practical perspective and three workshops on the topics of “Nitrate”, “PFAS” and “Social science aspects”.
Key elements of the discussion were preventive resource protection as a central element of groundwater management and the increasing importance of water as an economic and location factor. The significance of groundwater as an ecosystem as well as the need to raise awareness of groundwater issues among the general public were also emphasized in the discussions.
